The State of the Regional Economy
The Permian Basin Regional Planning Commission (PBRPC) is
pleased to serve as the Economic Development District for
the Permian Basin. Over the past decades, we have worked closely
with the cities, counties, and special districts of the region
to expand existing industries, recruit new industries, and
maintain the region's global competitiveness in agriculture
and energy.
PBRPC has developed partnerships with other regional institutions
to serve as major national economic development players. We
have teamed up with 'The
High Ground,' a partnership with the Panhandle and
South Plains entities working together to show businesses
and industries why this area is the best place for successful
endeavors. We believe that the Permian Basin has a strong
workforce, tremendous natural resource availability, and that
great infrastructure make our region special.
