The 2010 census reports the population in
Loving County was 82.

Mentone is the county seat and only community
of Loving County and covers 677 square miles.

Loving County was founded on February 26,
1877, and was named for Oliver Loving, a cattle
rancher and a pioneer of the cattle drive.
