Under the Regional Services department, the Permian Basin Regional Planning Commission's purpose is to assist in planning efforts to guide the development of the region, reduce duplication, and promote economy and efficiency in the coordinated development of the region.

Regional Services furthers this purpose by providing timely and relevant information related to environmental topics for the Permian Basin region.
