Tree Grant Program
Apache Corporation donates trees through its Tree
Grant Program to a wide variety of nonprofit and governmental
organizations, including cities, counties, schools,
parks, universities, youth associations, wildlife
refuges and community groups. Applications are accepted
once a year.
Building
Blocks for Sustainable Communities
Building Blocks for Sustainable Communities provides
quick, targeted technical assistance to selected communities
using a variety of tools that have demonstrated results
and widespread application. The purpose of delivering
these tools is to stimulate a discussion about growth
and development and strengthen local capacity to implement
sustainable approaches.
Call2Recycle
Call2Recycle is a nationwide organization that works
to assist com-munities with battery collection and
recycling.
Carton
Council
The Carton Council seeks to increase recycling rates
of cartons in the U.S. The Carton Council offers free
resources to help communities in establishing a carton
recycling program.
Clean
Water State Revolving Fund (CWSRF) Loan Program
The Clean Water State Revolving Fund, authorized by
the Clean Water Act, provides low-cost financial assistance
for planning, acquisition, design, and construction
of wastewater, reuse, and stormwater infra-structure.
Community
Facilities Direct Loan, Grant and Loan Guarantees
This program provides affordable funding to develop
essential community facilities in rural areas. An
essential community facility is defined as a facility
that provides an essential service to the local community
for the orderly development of the community in a
primarily rural area, and does not include private,
commercial or business undertakings.
Community
Facilities Technical Assistance and Training Grant
The Agency will make grants to public bodies and private
nonprofit corporations, (such as States, counties,
cities, townships, and incorporated towns and villages,
boroughs, authorities, districts, and Indian tribes
on Federal and State reservations) to provide associations
Technical Assistance and/or training with respect
to essential community facilities programs. The Technical
Assistance and/or training will assist communities,
Indian Tribes, and Nonprofit Corporations to identify
and plan for community facility needs that exist in
their area. Once those needs have been identified,
the Grantee can assist in identifying public and private
resources to finance those identified community facility
needs.
Economically
Distressed Areas Program (EDAP)
The Economically Distressed Areas Program (EDAP) provides
financial assistance provide water and wastewater
services to economically distressed areas where services
do not exist or systems do not meet minimum state
standards.
New
Technology Implementation Grant (Texas)
The primary objective of the NTIG program is to offset
the incremental cost of the implementation of existing
technologies that reduce the emission of pollutants
from facilities and other stationary sources which
may also include energy storage projects in Texas.
Public
Space Bin Grants
While most Americans have access to recycling in their
homes, finding recycling bins in downtown areas, athletic
fields, venues and other public spaces
can be a challenge. As we are increasing live on-the-go
lifestyles, research and common sense tell us that
people are less likely to recycle if they dont
have a convenient opportunity to do it. The Coca-Cola
/ Keep America Beautiful Public Space Recycling Bin
Grant is designed to help communities overcome this
barrier by providing recycling bins and the promoting
the idea that recycling is an activity we do wherever
our daily routine takes us.
Regional
Solid Waste Grants Program
Program to provide grants to regional councils of
governments to fund solid waste management activities
and various local and regional projects that help
implement solid waste management plans. Application

Small
Towns Environment Program Fund (STEP Texas)
The STEP program provides funds to eligible applicants
for water and sewer infrastructure improvements utilizing
self-help methods.
Texas
Community Development Block Grant Planning and Capacity
Building Fund
The Planning and Capacity Building Fund is a competitive
grant program for local public facility and housing
planning activities. Localities apply for financial
assistance to prepare a comprehensive plan
or any of its components. Typical activities regard
topics such as: Base Mapping, Land Use, Housing, Population,
Economic Development and/or Tourism, Central Business
District, Street Conditions, Thoroughfares, Parks
and Recreation, Water Distribution and Supply, Wastewater
Collection and Treatment, Drainage (streets &
flood hazard areas), Gas or Electric Systems (if owned
by the locality), Community Facilities, Capital Improvements
Program, Zoning Ordinance, Subdivision Regulation.
Section 105(a) of the Housing and Community Development
Act of 1974, as amended, outlines all the generally
eligible activities.
