Updates on Recycling at Citizens Collection
Station in Midland
Some changes have happened at the Midland Citizens Collection
Station, and we want you to be aware. Because of nearby
construction, the area to recycle, bring tree limbs and
large items at the Citizens Collection Station has changed
and will remain that way till the new locations are built.
So please follow the instructions from the person at the
checkpoint so traffic will flow easily. Entry and exit may
at times be reduced to one lane. Watch for directions from
the person at the checkpoint again for directions. The upcoming
holidays always create an increase in recycling so let's
be patient and kind when using the Citizens Collection Station.
Then from "the more things change, the more they stay
the same" department - you STILL CAN'T leave your recycled
items in a plastic bag when you recycle. The plastic bags
aren't recyclable, and it slows down or contaminates the
recycling process every time you leave the items in a plastic
bag. Please release from the plastic bag the aluminum cans,
or the plastics bottles, or the paper you have brought,
and take the bag back with you. When you do, you are recycling
right in Midland.
Keep Midland Beautiful thanks you for all the efforts made
to recycle in Midland. You ARE making a difference.
