Multi-Line telephones must provide direct access to
9-1-1 when a call is placed.
Kari's Law requires businesses
in Texas with a multi-line telephone system (MLTS) or private
branch exchange (PBX) to provide direct access to 9-1-1 services
without callers having to first dial an outside-line number
(usually 9).
